What started out as something to do until …getting a ‘proper’ job… has turned into a unique and rewarding career as a professional Pet-Portrait painter, of almost 40 years! Christine Varley’s journey is remarkable, from artistic schoolgirl with a passion for dogs to successful artist and owner of the brand ‘WaggyDogz’. A career presenting many challenges along the way, needing courage, determination and adaptability in this ever-changing world. Having met a host of dotty dog lovers and crazy cat people, one thing remains constant… that folks continue to be besotted with their pets!
Christine is a great lover of all animals, which is reflected in her paintings and understands the importance of the relationship between owners and their pets. Specialising in pet portraits from photographs of your dog, cat, horse or other animal. A regular exhibitor at Crufts Dog Show, celebrating over 25 years at the show. Christine has a reputation for capturing the very character of the animal she is painting. Years of experience enable her to advise her clients on the best pose & layout for the portrait. All commissions are completed in beautifully detailed watercolour or in pencil to create a timeless piece of art, with paintings sent all over the world. Read more here…

WaggyDogz
The current range of Christine Varley Products is called WaggyDogz. Featuring dog breed images and other animals as Greetings Cards, Mugs & Coasters, Keyrings, Cushions, Prints and Canvas Art.
During the 1980s a publishing company, distributed prints produced from Christine Varley original pencil illustrations and watercolour paintings. These sold nationwide in their thousands.
Her work is exhibited at Crufts & the major Horse Trial Events. Companies and Charities she has work with include. Central TV, Vanish, Tesco, Red Letter Days, Daily Express, Daily Mail, Dogs Trust, Kennel Club & The Brooke.
